Graz - "When a ball dreams, it dreams it's a friesbee"
Exhibition performance in Rondo Marienplatz with Aldo Giannotti, Jei-Min Kim, Pierre Andrieux - 30 April 2010
A project by Aldo Giannotti (IT), Jei-Min Kim (KR), Pablo Chiereghin (IT), Pierre Andrieux
(FR)
Artist step into sports and try to get their best out of Frisbee playing. The UFAT (Ultimate Frisbee Artist Team) is the result of a decision made by four not-sportive artists, who met by chance during their residency in Rondo (Graz), to achieve a decent level in the Frisbee game.
The performance stresses on collaborative strategies, involvement in public space, participatory attitudes, and the relation between cooperation and competition. The Frisbee game becomes a metaphorical tool for emphasizing common goals, the human need of belonging to a group, the innate instinct for throwing things and the never-ending pursuit for happiness.
